Access Control Systems

VIP Security is the proud authorised distributor of the Siemens range of Access Control and Security products within the South Island. The Siemens range offers superior reliability and ease of use, coupled with the installation and service from a locally owned company.

VIP Security staff offer over seventy years of combined experience.

Through training and installing we have gained comprehensive knowledge of the following systems...

  • Siemens Access Control SiPass and AdvaNTage systems (factory trained in Australia and NZ)

  • CardaxFT Access Control systems (factory trained)

  • Honeywell/Ademco Access Control (factory trained in Australia)

  • Tecom Access Control  Manager (Certified installers)

  • Tecom Challenger (supplier trained)

  • Concept Access Control 2000/3000 (Certified installers)

  • Hardings Access Control ACS2000 (factory trained)

  • Hardings ACS4 (factory trained)

  • Hardings Enterlock (factory trained)

Our systems range from small commercial tenancies with a single card reader, to large corporate clients with offices across regions linked by wide area networked systems.

For the larger clients, we also offer integrated intrusion and cameras systems, allowing centralised alarms and card management.

Proprietary systems

VIP Security currently have the sole distribution rights for Siemens within the South Island. We see this as a positive in many ways.

In New Zealand there is a reluctance to use single source suppliers for access control systems, while other business needs, such as Photocopiers and Building Management Systems, etc don't seem to have this issue.

So why is it that VIP Security has been so successful in installing Siemens equipment?

  • Value for money: We don't price gouge the market, we always offer quality systems installed to the highest of standards, and while this is often not the cheapest short term, it is often the cheapest long term (less maintenance, faster problem resolution, less faults, less downtime).

  • Service: If we dropped our service (or increased our pricing) to our Siemens customers, then they could complain to Siemens. This would pose the risk of losing our distribution agreement - and thus we would lose our entire Siemens customer portfolio (a significant portion of our customer base) - why would anyone risk that?

  • Back up: We have direct contact with the factory, allowing our technicians the best support possible.

  • Trust: Our customers trust not only the systems and qualify of installations - but also our advice.

  • Longevity: The old Siemens hardware platform was originally designed/created in the 1980's, around the same time as Hardings ACS4 and Cardax III. Siemens still support the old hardware platforms, and even offer a cost effective upgrade path to the newer SiPass system, whilst still retaining most of the old 1980's hardware. Should this old hardware fail, Siemens have new boards to replace - as/if required.

  • Great Client Relationships: Proprietary equipment requires a more open communication approach to managing the system. As large clients change security managers every five years.

  • Consistency: Our Clients appreciate the reliability and honesty we bring to the relationship.

The old adage You get what you pay for still holds true today, even more so with security systems.

Our focus at VIP Security is to deliver quality systems and installations and responsive service (these are two of our four core company values).
