About VIP Security

Founded in 1997, VIP Security specialised in large building and industrial security projects. The business grew quickly, and in January 2000 VIP Security was bought by international giant Siemens. The systems and training given, allowed the new Siemens Security division to successfully take on larger and more complex projects.

In late 2002, Siemens International decided to restructure the business models and the founder Dave Proud purchased the company and re-formed VIP Security. Since then, while still promoting Siemens and other quality products, VIP Security has again grown to become a major player in corporate, commercial and industrial security (see our testimonials and previous projects).

VIP Security's head office is in Christchurch, and with our technicians working across the South Island, we service customers as far afield as Picton, Balclutha and Dunedin.

We believe our strength comes from our staff, who all exhibit a strong focus on customer satisfaction and are committed to go the extra mile to achieve the desired results.

Our goal is to be the leading security installation company by choice in the South Island. We aim to do this by providing excellent service with a dedicated and professional team.

Important milestones in VIP's history.

July 08 - VIP Security selected as authorised NZ Defence Contractors for electronic security. Range of clearance spans from confidential to secret.

October 2008 - VIP Security pass their audit by a NZSA auditor with flying colours and become Accredited Members.

December 08 - VIP Security announce their Blenheim office - headed by Phil Jarvis as Blenheim Manager.
