David

Director/Sales Engineer (NZCE, ESTB, IQP, NCES Level 3 Security)

David has worked in the security industry since 1988, including all aspects of large projects and fourteen years in management. His wealth of knowledge enables David to see a project through from tendering to final commissioning. David has grown his company with the high work standards and dedication to customers that have always been of core importance to him.

David is also a board member on the NZSA and is actively working towards raising the industry standards nationwide.

Phil

Marlborough Manager (Electrician, Level 3 Security, Cisco Networks)

Phil began working with Siemens equipment in 2000 while working with David at Siemens. With seventeen years experience in the security industry, twenty eight years electrical experience, backed up by the technicians and engineers in Christchurch, there is no job too big or too small that Phil can't handle in Blenheim / Marlborough / Nelson.

Les

Project Engineer (NZCE equiv Telecommunications)

Les has been engineering security systems (including access control, CCTV and fire systems) since 1993, and has worked at VIP since January 2004 when his family moved from South Africa. Les has continued to work on installing and engineering all types of systems for VIP around the South Island.

Chay

Account Manager

Chay has been with VIP since April 2005 and he came to us with four years experience in security sales. He has a great understanding of customer satisfaction and is excellent at working with clients to ensure they have the security system that best suits their requirements.

Chay H

Brent

Account Manager

Brent joined VIP in late 2010 and brings eighteen years of experience in the wider security industry to his role of sales in VIP.

His experience includes front line patrol services and associated work, and ten years in electronic security including CCTV, Alarms, Fire Protection and Investigation work.

He has worked for both national and international security companies and held the position of South Island Regional Sales Manager in the industry.


Saul

Engineer (MCSE)

Saul has been with VIP since June 2003, and has over ten years security experience with him and has continued to grow that experience working on all types of systems. Saul has also completed local and international training courses on new systems and is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.

Grant

Technician (EAS)

Grant has been with VIP since February 2003 and has eight years experience in security. Hard work and commitment to a good job has seen Grant expand his experience to include installing and maintaining a wide variety of security systems. This includes sole charge of projects outside Canterbury. Praise from the client for his great work at Christchurch Cathedral (a demanding cabling contract) is evidence of just how good Grant is. Dave

Senior Technician

Trained in Mobotix, Tecom, DSC alarm panels, Dave joined our team in 2008.

Jono

Technician (Level 3 Security, EST-A)

Jono returned back to VIP after a world trip cruising on Super Yachts.

He is an enthusiastic, competent and all round top technician, it's great to have Jono back at VIP.

Jono is site supervisor for us at the new Civic building, so if you haven't seen Jono on the job it's because he practically lives on site.

Mick

Mick works for our Blenheim branch with Phil. Mick has worked in a variety of fields throughout his working life and brings this experience to VIP within the Marlborough district.

Michaela

Financial Controller

Michaela has the unenviable task of trying to keep David from buying too much demo equipment and other techno pieces.

Michaela also keeps close eye on the books.

Karen

Office Administrator (Saint)

Karen joined her husband David and took a more active role in the business when VIP Security was re-established after buying back from Siemens in November 02.

Natasha

Office Administrator

Natasha has been with VIP since February 2003 and is the coordinator of the company, though many believe she is the real boss at VIP. 

Natasha also handles all the debtors invoicing, stock control and many other things to ensure smooth operations.

Morgan

Service Administrator

Morgan is the welcoming voice when you phone in.

She is also the first person you see when you call in, and ... busy as she is with this role; Morgan also works with Natasha, Karen and Michaela on managing the paperwork, filing and data entry.

Stephen

Trainee Technician (BA)

Stephen has been a casual employee for the last 5 years whilst studying at University. He is now full time assisting the technicians with cabling and fitting off equipment.
